“I found the therapy sessions very valuable. I tried to get as much information as I could outside of the sessions using the library and internet etc (only to save money), but some of my therapy clearly needed to be face to face. For example, hearing the clear and well timed message that “you are okay as you are, right now” was incredibly useful, even a turning point.
These 10 sessions have been useful in helping me to deal with my mental health issues. I feel that the cognitive problem solving skills and thought records have helped me to combat my negative view and thoughts about myself. I feel that my self-esteem has gone up along with my confidence as it was low at the beginning of the sessions. I have really enjoyed being able to have someone to talk to about my thoughts and feelings. Everything in these sessions has helped me to have a more positive view towards myself. I feel that I still have a long way to go but I know that with the great skills and tools I have learnt from these sessions that I will definitely get there, thank you”.
“This is the best therapy I have ever received. It is logical and applicable. I was allowed to digest and process the information and techniques at a pace set by me for my best outcome. No pressure was put on me if I slipped backwards. I gained a new perspective on my own self-worth and power to change my life. Constructive criticism was always done in a valuable and safe manner. I wasn’t left feeling vulnerable when I left the sessions”
“I appreciate the way you challenged my thinking and asked searching questions that made me reflect and gave me insights. I also appreciated you being kind and encouraging and affirming my efforts to change”.
“I want to let you know how much you helped me to become the stable person I am today. I’m not sure where I’d be today without your help, and the advice you gave me I now use to help out my own friends with their problems”.
“Thanks so much for your help and understanding. I never felt judged or that I had to ‘hold things back’ in our sessions. I feel I have grown a lot as a person through my therapy sessions”
